Peroneal Tendinitis is a Common Running Injury
In the above video, Dr. Jason Knox of Neuhaus Foot and Ankle talks about Peroneal Tendinitis. Diagnosing peroneal tendinitis can be complicated. The main symptoms of this injury are generalized swelling in the area around the heel bone, and pain when the patient is walking or exercising. This injury may be due to a deformity in the heel bone, or it may be caused by the Peroneal tendons rubbing against the sheath covering the bone, which causes irritation. Peroneal tendinitis is a common injury among runners and joggers.
