Find out what is causing your cold feet.

Having cold feet frequently can be caused by several different factors.

1. It can be due to a number of etiologies, such as peripheral vascular disease, Raynauds disease, hypothyroidism, frostbite, or neuropathy.

2. We recommend Doppler or ABI studies, as well as a full work up of labs to rule out conditions that can cause cold feet.

3. Wearing socks at all times, even while at home, can help keep feet warmer. However, be cautious when using warming devices, such as an electric heater or blanket, especially if the neurovascular system is compromised.

4. Staying active and stretching or massaging feet and legs will continue to circulate blood flow in lower extremity.

If you have any concerns on why your feet remain cold no matter what you try, you made need to see a podiatrist to rule out any serious issues.
You can call us to schedule an appointment at any of our five locations: (615)220-8788.
