Why Do My Feet Smell?
There are two main causes of smelly feet: foot sweat and the bacteria in shoes in socks. The interaction between the sweat and the bacteria produces the odor and causes your smelly feet. If you are trying to get rid of your foot odor, you will have pay attention to and treat both your sweating and your footwear to be successful.
Foot odor may be due to by an inherited condition named hyperhidrosis. Hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, predominately affects males.
The feet and hands actually contain more sweat glands than any other part of the body (about 3,000 glands per square inch) and stress, some medications, fluid intake and hormonal changes can cause changes in the amount of sweat your body creates.
