Happy New Year!
Well, 2015 has arrived, and it is time to start following through with those resolutions we made while out celebrating on New Year's Eve.
If you haven't made a resolution quite yet, here a few you might want to consider! If you have a list of resolutions already prepared, keep these tips in mind as well.
1. Assess your health honestly. And take action. Every year we hear our friends repeat the same New Year's resolutions. Lose ten pounds. Work out more. Eat healthier. This year, instead of making a vague resolution to get in shape or eat more nutricious foods, take a good look at yourself and assess your health honestly. Are you feeling pain anywhere? Don't put off having it looked at. Have you seen a doctor recently? Have you been keeping up with yearly appointments and checkups? Maybe it's time for you to go in and get checked out. If you are planning on starting a new exercise regime, you definitely should! Don't let potential health problems linger on from 2014, and if you're looking to get healthier in general, start 2015 off on the right foot with a professional's guidance.
2. Invest in a good pair of shoes for exercise-related resolutions! If you are taking up a new athletic hobby, like running, this is especially important. Don't start pounding the pavement in that old pair of sneakers you dug out of the back of your closet. Do your research and get the right equipment to start running, playing sports, or whatever it is you've resolved to do.
3. Set reasonable goals. Be realistic when setting your goals for 2015. Pushing yourself too hard in the first couple of weeks or months can burn you out, and you'll end up giving up on your resolution before you accomplish anything! Pace yourself and know what's reasonable to expect of yourself.
We wish you the best for 2015! May it be a happy, healthy year, and may you accomplish many goals!
