Washington Nationals’ Bryce Harper Dealing with Ingrown Toenail Removal
Bryce Harper, outfielder for the Washington Nationals, has been suffering from an ingrown toenail and on Friday had a minor procedure performed to remove part of the nail.
The ingrown toenail has caused him to miss games and is still causing him some pain and discomfort even after the procedure, but Harper is expected to be back to normal and back on the field soon.
Harper tweeted a photo of the nail after the procedure, which you can see here.
Ingrown toenails can be very painful and you always run the risk of an infection if it you do not treat an ingrown nail properly.
You should see a podiatrist if the toe is swollen, red or very painful. A podiatrist can cut away the ingrown portion of the nail, which is what was done for Harper.
