Shinedown Bassist Eric Bass Sprains Ankle During Show
Eric Bass, bassist for Shinedown, has suffered an ankle sprain. The injury occurred during the band’s show on Friday night, March 22nd, in Lubbock, Texas.
After the show, the band tweeted a photo of Bass’s swollen ankle and a photo of Bass playing in the show. Bass also posted a photograph on his own twitter account after the show. It shows Bass in the hospital.
It is unclear how the injury occurred.
Bass did the right thing by going to the hospital and seeking medical treatment. If you suffer an ankle sprain, it is always important to have it evaluated and treated appropriately. An x-ray may be needed to make sure the sprain is in fact just a sprain and not a more serious injury, like an ankle fracture.
The severity of ankle sprains can vary. The severity of a sprain depends on whether the ligament is stretched, partially torn, or completely torn. It also depends on the number of ligaments involved in the sprain.
If ankle sprains are left untreated, they can lead to chronic ankle instability or other problems.
