San Diego Padres’ Logan Forsythe Recovering from Plantar Fasciitis
Logan Forsythe, a San Diego Padres infielder, has been on the disabled list since March due to plantar fasciitis in his right foot.
Forsythe has been wearing a protective boot on the foot while it heals, but recently was able to shed the boot and is starting to exercise again.
The infielder has been keeping his upper body in shape over the months despite the boot on his foot and now has started jogging. If that goes well, he may be able to start practicing on the field again soon.
Plantar fasciitis can be very painful and takes time to heal. However, conservative treatment options, such as stretching exercises, orthotic devices, icing, physical therapy and anti-inflammatory medications are enough to relieve the pain caused by plantar fasciitis in most cases.
