Recurrent Ingrown Toenails
Are you a chronic ingrown toenail sufferer? If you are, you are not alone. Ingrown toenails are actually a very common problem.
If you aren’t suffering from recurrent ingrown nails, the problem may be successfully treated at home in some cases. However, if ingrown toenails are a regular occurrence for you, you should see a podiatrist and talk about treatment options.
A podiatrist can remove the ingrown portion of the nail for you or even the entire nail in some cases.
Our procedure for treating ingrown toenails is over 98% effective, which is why our podiatrists like to call it their 98% procedure.
However, recurrence is always possible, even with “permanent” solutions like nail avulsion. 98% is not quite 100%.
Here is a good photograph of what an ingrown toenail recurrence looks like:
Note the little spicules on the sides. If you have a recurrence of your ingrown nail, contact your podiatrist.
