Radio Analyst Hokie Gajan Suffering from Gout
Hokie Gajan is currently a radio analyst for the New Orleans Saints, but before he used his wit and voice to make a living, he spent years playing in the NFL himself. Seven years, in fact.
In those seven years of play, Gajan suffered multiple injuries, some of them serious. And unfortunately, Gajan is still dealing with some of those injuries. Many of them left permanent marks on his body and his health.
The radio analyst has suffered through knee surgery, back surgery, amputations, and also gout. Gajan doesn’t blame on his health problems on sports injuries, but football injuries certainly attributed to some of them.
Gout is basically just a form of arthritis and it can be extremely painful. Gajan, like many gout sufferers, has found that the condition affects his everyday life. He is on medication for the condition and is also following a recommended course of action for gout sufferers: he has changed his diet and stopped drinking alcoholic beverages. He has also started exercising regularly.
With this course of treatment, he is reportedly already beginning to see improvements.
