Marcin Gortat, center for the Phoenix Suns, returned to the United States recently to undergo an evaluation on his injured foot, which continues to cause him pain months after the incident.

The injury occurred on March 6. Gortat sprained his right foot during a game and was out for the rest of the regular season. It is concerning that the center player is still suffering pain from the incident after so many months, especially when he took time off to let the injury heal.

However, it is a good thing that he is seeking further treatment for the injury so he can get back on the court as soon as possible. Just because you believe your injury should be healed, doesn’t mean it always is. It is important to pay attention to your body and any signs or symptoms of a continuing injury.

The last thing you want to do is to re-injure your foot or cause further damage.

We’ll keep our fingers crossed for Gortat and hope his tests come back with good results so he can be back on the court and pain-free when the regular season starts up again.
