Los Angeles Angels’ Albert Pujols Struggling Foot Injury, May Be Out for the Season
Albert Pujols of the Los Angeles Angels has received some bad news after struggling with foot pain for most of the season: he has torn his plantar fascia.
Pujols is no stranger to foot pain and has been dealing with plantar fasciitis for a very long time now. However, he was determined to keep playing. Now that he has partially torn the plantar fascia in his left foot, though, he may be sitting out for the rest of the season.
After having an MRI on Saturday, Pujols was placed on the 15 day disabled list on Sunday and he is now in a walking boot while he heals and gets further treatment for his injury.
The plan is for Pujols to spend the next few weeks to the next few months rehabilitating, then hopefully he will be able to return for the off-season. After sufficient time to heal, Pujols could conceivably be able to return to the game next season with his plantar fascia issues taken care of and not bothering him anymore.
We will keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best for Pujols. He has been dealing with plantar fascia issues for some time now.
