Kobe Bryant Suffers Severe Ankle Sprain
Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant suffered a severe ankle sprain Wednesday night during a game against the Atlanta Hawks.
Bryant’s x-rays were negative, but he reportedly said that it is the worst sprain he has suffered since the 2000 season.
Bryant will be out indefinitely while he heals from the injury.
Ankle sprains are a common sports injury and are especially common in basketball.
You can help to prevent ankle sprains and other sports injuries from occurring by wearing the proper footwear and playing on appropriate surfaces. Also, always warm up properly and stretch before and after playing.
It is important to pay attention to foot and ankle pain and take it seriously. If you experience pain while playing, don’t push yourself to play through it.
