Kobe Bryant Still Weeks Away From Playing, But Feeling Optimistic
Kobe Bryant has dedicated himself to his recovery since he sustained an Achilles tendon injury late last season. Soon after the injury, Bryant underwent surgery to repair the torn Achilles tendon, and the basketball star has been rehabilitating ever since.
It has been a frustrating process, for both Bryant and his fans. He has kept fans involved and updated through social media. In fact, only a short time ago, Bryant posted a photo of his most recent treatment, a platelet rich plasma treatment. The treatment Bryant had is not available in the United States so he had to go to Germany to have the procedure performed. This treatment was not actually for his Achilles tendon, but for his right knee. He has had problems with the knee for some time now and has had several surgeries performed on the knee.
Bryant has kept up a positive attitude throughout the healing process, and now he is seemingly just weeks away from getting back into action. No date has been set for his return, though. Bryant says he is not focused on specific dates, he will return when he is ready.
The basketball star will have some conditioning to do after being out of play for the last six months, but after the determination he has shown during the recovery process, that should be no problem.
We look forward to seeing Bryant back on the court and wish him the best in the last leg of his recovery!
