Kobe Bryant Shares Photo of Achilles Tendon Surgery
Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant took to Instagram recently to share a photograph of his Achilles tendon surgery in progress. The photo, which is rather graphic, shows several surgeons surrounding Bryant and operating on his Achilles tendon.
The surgery was performed to repair the torn Achilles tendon in Bryant’s left leg. The injury occurred Friday, April 12, during a game against the Golden State Warriors. The surgery was performed the next day.
You can see the surgery photo on Bryant’s Instagram page.
It takes quite while for a patient to heal properly after a surgery like this. The Los Angeles Lakers’ star player is expected to be out of play for at least six to nine months while he rehabilitates.
This injury came as a blow to Bryant, who had already stated that next season could he be his last season playing in the NBA.
Hopefully, he will have recovered enough to return to the court by next season.
