Kim Kardashian Dealing with Swollen Feet During Pregnancy

Kim Kardashian is in the news often for a variety of reasons, but maybe never for something as odd as this: her swollen feet. The reality star recently posted a photograph of her feet on Instagram after squeezing them into a pair of sandals. The photo shows the deep marks the straps of the sandals left on her feet. You can see the photo on Kardashian's Instagram account.

Swollen feet are not an uncommon occurrence during a pregnancy. Many women experience swelling in their feet and ankles, especially in the last few months of pregnancy.

Swollen feet can be a problem because swelling can aggravate other existing foot problems and can just be uncomfortable. If you suffer swelling in your feet and ankles during pregnancy, you may not be able to wear your normal shoes.

Your body goes through a lot of changes during pregnancy and you acquire a new weight-bearing stance, so you may want to look for shoes with broader based heels for more support.

To help reduce swelling, elevate your legs when sitting. Also, make sure you have time to sit down periodically throughout the day, but don’t stay sitting down for extended periods of time.

If you are experiencing foot and ankle swelling and would like to set up an appointment with our office, you can contact us at 615-220-8788 or at our toll-free number 888-713-0906. You can also request an appointment online.
