This is especially important if you have been inactive for a long period of time, if you are a smoker, or if you are overweight.
People tend to overlook their feet when exercising, but it is important that we realize exactly what effect our actions are having on our feet. Tremendous pressure is put on our feet during exercise.

That is an incredible amount of impact that our feet are absorbing while we exercise. It is important to listen to what our feet are telling us and to pay as much attention to them as we do the other parts of our body.
Many people who begin training for marathons start too quickly and end up injuring themselves. Improper training or overtraining can lead to foot pain and injury, so be sure to start slowly and build up your training regime as you go. If you have foot pain, stop training and have it evaluated before continuing.
Remember to keep your feet healthy and exercise in moderation, never overstrain your legs or feet. Also, wear the proper shoes for your exercise program and make sure they fit properly.
