Derek Jeter was Spotted Wednesday Playing a Game of Catch Despite Ankle Injury
New York Yankees’ captain Derek Jeter originally broke his ankle in October last year. The injury occurred during the American League Championship Series.
Then just last month, Jeter was diagnosed with a new fracture in his ankle. This week he was finally spotted playing ball again. No, he’s not back in the game quite yet. He was just playing some catch. Not a big deal, but it may be the only baseball action we see from Jeter for a while.
Currently, he has set no date for returning to the game. He is just waiting on his ankle to heal. However, it has already been six weeks since Jeter re-injured the ankle and he did get out of his walking boot last week. That gives us some hope that we will see him back on the baseball diamond very soon.
Jeter is doing the right thing by giving his ankle plenty of time to heal. It is important to allow plenty of time for rehabilitation to prevent re-injuring the ankle.
