Denver Nuggets’ Ty Lawson Out with Plantar Fascia Tear
Ty Lawson, guard for the Denver Nuggets, could be out for weeks due to a plantar fascia tear. The injury is in Lawson’s right heel.
Right now, Lawson is listed as day-to-day, but the injury could cause Lawson to miss a lot of time on the court. There is some good news, though. The team has announced that Lawson will not need surgery for the injury.
Treatments for plantar fascia injuries may include:
- Orthotics or arch supports.
- A cast or a night splint.
- Physical therapy and/or stretching exercises.
- Change in activities.
If you are suffering from persistent heel pain, you should see a podiatrist for a proper diagnosis and treatment.
