Considering Wearing Heels to that New Year's Eve Party? Think Again

Many people will be getting all dressed up tonight to go out and celebrate New Year's Eve, and ushering in 2014 should be a fun and memorable experience, not a painful one, so we want you to remember to wear comfortable shoes!

If you're considering wearing high heels, be careful which heels you choose, and try to go with a low, comfortable heel if you must wear one. Make sure your shoes fit properly as well. You want to be able to stay on your feet until midnight, and you don't want to ring in 2014 with foot pain, blisters, or other problems caused by ill-fitting footwear.

If you plan on dancing, make sure your footwear is appropriate for that, too. You'll want to wear shoes that are easy to move around in and fit your feet well. Shoes that are slipping off can make dancing dangerous, and shoes that are too tight will be uncomfortable and painful for your feet. Also, make sure the soles of your shoes aren't too slick for the dance floor and avoid unstable heels. Spraining an ankle on the dance floor wouldn't be any fun!

We hope you have a wonderful and safe New Year's Eve! Remember, you can always request an appointment with us online or call us at (888) 713-0906 if you need us!
