Dr. Neuhaus has been serving the residents of Rutherford County for over 6 years. With great success in the area, we have brought Dr. Jason Knox into the practice. We are excited to welcome Dr. Knox to our practice from Louisiana where he was previously practicing for the past few years. Dr. Knox joined our practice in February of this year and is currently accepting new patients. Dr. Knox chose the field of Podiatry because he wanted to make a difference. He enjoys the challenge of keeping his patients happy, walking, running and being as active as they can be. His patients know that he cares about them and their health concerns.

In the past, Dr. Knox served for 2 years as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and then finished his undergraduate work at Weber State University and the University of Utah. Dr. Knox received his doctorate from Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 2001. He did his residency training in foot and ankle surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He is board certified in foot surgery, a member of the AAPPM and the APMA.

Dr. Knox and his wife have been happily married for over 20 years. The two enjoy home life with their 3 sons and daughter.  Some of Dr. Knox' personal interests or hobbies include fishing, hunting, playing sports, spending time with family, personal fitness, and attending church.

Discover the healthy, doctor-formulated alternative to traditional nail polishes

Neuhaus Foot & Ankle now proudly sells Dr.'s Remedy Enriched Nail Polish which provides a self-defense against the toxic chemicals found in traditional nail polishes. The nail polish is unique because it does not contain toxic ingredients and it is enriched with naturally-occurring elements like tea-tree oil, wheat protein, and Vitamins C and E. With these ingredients, the nail polish fights to strengthen and protect your nails from fungus, discoloration, cracking and brittleness. The nail polish appeals to people who are suffering from discolored nails, pregnant women, people with allergies to chemicals in popular nail polish brands, children, or anyone looking for a healthier alternative.

Feel free to stop by the office any time to view the assortment of colors offered or feel free to call our office (615) 220-8788 with any questions you may have about Dr.'s Remedy Enriched Nail Polish. We offer 20 various colors as well as cuticle oil and acetone-free nail polish remover. The nail polish is $16.00, the cuticle oil is $10.00, and the Nail Polish Remover is $5.00.

"To date, I've purchased several shades of the nail polish. I'm delighted that for the first time ever, I can wear nail polish without my nails chipping, turning yellow and even splitting! "  - L.K.

Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) is a serious circulatory problem in which the blood vessels that carry blood to your arms, legs, brain, or kidneys, become narrowed or clogged. It affects over 8 million Americans, most over the age of 50. It may result in leg discomfort with walking, poor healing of leg sores/ulcers, difficulty controlling blood pressure, or symptoms of stroke. People with PAD are at significantly increased risk for stroke and heart attack. Answers to these questions will determine if you are at risk for PAD and if a vascular exam will help us better assess your vascular health status.

Do you have foot, calf, buttock, hip, or thigh discomfort (aching, fatigue, tingling, cramping, or pain) when you walk, which is relieved by rest?

Do you experience any pain at rest in your lower leg(s) or feet?

Do you experience foot or toe pain that often disturbs you in your sleep?

Are your toes or feet paile, discolored, or bluish?

Do you have skin wounds or ulcers on your feet or toes that are slow to heal (8-12 weeks)?

Has your doctor ever told you that you have diminished or absent pedal (foot) pulses?

Have you suffered a severe injury to the leg(s) or feet?

Do you have an infection of the leg(s) or feet that may be gangrenous (black skin tissue)?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, please call our office at (615) 220-8788 so we can examine your feet for Peripheral Arterial Disease. We also have a new test within the office called PADnet that will help test your blood circulation.

Starting August 2009, Dr. Neuhaus is now:

Diplomate, American Board of Podiatric Surgery
Board Certified in Foot Surgery
Board Certified in Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery

Congratulations to Dr. Neuhaus on this great accomplishment!!!
