Braves’ Juan Francisco Day-to-Day with Ankle Sprain
Juan Francisco, third baseman for the Atlanta Braves, suffered a right ankle sprain Friday night during the third inning of the game against the New York Mets.
Ramiro Pena took Franciso’s place at third base starting in the fourth inning. The Mets ended up winning the game seven to five.
Apparently, the sprain is mild and Francisco is day-to-day with the injury. The ankle had shown improvement as of yesterday (Sunday, May 5th), and Francisco may even back on the field as soon as today. The Braves are set to play against Cincinnati tonight, Monday, May 6, 2013.
