Boston Celtics’ Kevin Garnett and Courtney Lee Out with Ankle Sprains
Both Kevin Garnett, forward for the Boston Celtics, and Courtney Lee, guard for the Boston Celtics, are suffering from ankle sprains. Both players missed out on the game against the Memphis Grizzlies Saturday night, which was a loss.
Ankle sprains are a common sports injury and are especially common in basketball because basketball requires a lot of running, quick stops and turns, jumping, and twisting. If you play basketball, you should take a look at our page on choosing the right basketball shoes.
Symptoms of an ankle sprain include:
- Pain or soreness.
- Difficulty walking.
- Stiffness in the joint.
If you have suffered an ankle sprain, you should have it evaluated and treated appropriately. Ankle sprains that do not receive proper treatment can lead to the development of chronic ankle instability.
