Atlanta Falcons’ Mike Johnson Suffers Dislocated Ankle
Mike Johnson, right tackle for the Atlanta Falcons, suffered a dislocated ankle and a fractured fibula this week during training camp and had to be taken away in an ambulance due to the severity of the injury.
Johnson sustained the injury Tuesday while running a play during a practice with team.
Johnson is scheduled to have surgery sometime next week and will most likely be out for the entire season while the injuries heals.
Johnson was all set to replace Tyson Clabo, who was cut from the team last year. However, since Johnson has sustained these injuries and will be unavailable, a new replacement will have to be found.
Unfortunately, ankle injuries and fractures are fairly common in contact sports like football. It is important to have all fractures treated promptly and follow the R.I.C.E. method until you can get to a doctor.
