Do you wear FiveFinger shoes? The shoes that look like a glove for your foot? The footwear caught on as running shoes during a surge in popularity of "minimalist" running, and are easy to spot due to the shoes unique appearance.

If you are a fan of FiveFinger shoes, you'll definitely be interested in hearing some recent news on the footwear.

The company who makes the shoes, Vibram, has settled a class action lawsuit for $3.75 million.

The lawsuit was brought against the company over the way the shoes have been marketed. Vibram apparently promised health benefits with the shoes that were not backed up scientifically, and now the company will offer refunds to customers who purchased the shoes within a certain period of time.

For more information on this issue, check out this article about the Vibram FiveFinger Settlement in The Washington Post.

To be clear, Vibram's FiveFinger shoes are NOT being pulled from the market. They are still being sold. The lawsuit was just about the way the shoes have been marketed.

If you wear Vibram's FiveFingers shoes, or any other running shoes, be sure to do your research so you know exactly what you are getting and what to expect when you go running.
